Restored featherweight and case

Just finished restoring my featherweight and it's case. I took a class on restoring this machine and am very happy with the results. The case was dingy and with paint stains on it. Now it is black and shiny as it should be. The machine sews like a champ!! It was all I used at my four day retreat in feb and I completed three tops! I am so glad I found Liza last summer!!

Snowbound quilt

Well being snowbound has it's benefits. My office is in my house so I could still work during the day. In the evenings I got some serious sewing done this week. Here is the result. I plan on piecing a back and basting tonight then start quilting tomorrow. This is a pattern from the jelly roll quilts book by Pam and Nicky Lintott.

My quilting kitty

Here is my quilting buddy bobcat. Wherever I have thread and fabric he shows up gracing me with his presence. He was on my handquilting frame with me earlier today. He decided this is a great place for a nap. It is also right next to the birdcage.
Feel like I accomplished a lot of sewing this weekend!! I got 18 blocks assembled for a scrappy project I am doing with a couple of friends.
Tomorrow I am taking a zentangle class and am very excited.

New stitchery BOM

My friend led me to a new BOM that is just too adorable.
the link is
www.littlemissshabby.com
I love her blog and her new block of the month.
attached is a pic of the first block I completed.
I am doing mine in 30's fabric. She also has a flickr album for people to post finished blocks.
they are all just too cute.
Hoping to get some sewing time in today!
I finished my top 10 UFO list from Pat sloans challenge and it felt really good!

Let it snow

Raining and snowing outside. Perfect day to stay inside and sew. We moves the furniture around this weekend to make room for my quilt frame. I am hoping to get this one finished hand quilted in time to put it in the Plano show this fall. Will probably work on it today.
Happy new year!
