I am so excited to have my first giveaway on my blog. I love Jennifer Chiaverini's books and I have read all of them. Her publisher so kindly sent me a copy of the giving quilt and pins to give to one of my readers. If you would like a chance to win this book simply leave me a comment telling me if you have read any of Jennifer's books. I will choose the winner by a random number and contact that person by e mail and send them the book and pins. What could be easier?
Retreat was in February... I just now unpacked my partial blocks. I had three of twelve left to finish. I love the color combination in these blocks!! I definitely need more time to sew to get accomplished what is on my goal list this year! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
I am so excited to be going to quilt retreat with some of my best friends next weekend. Friday can not arrive soon enough! I cut two kits this weekend. One is called nevermore based on the raven poem. It is for my daughter who adores ravens and Poe. This quilt is perfect for Halloween.
I finished this block for a quilting buddy of mine can't wait to see the finished quilt!! Feels good to get things done however I am getting more home projects done than sewing. I re grouted some tiles and re screened a window. Need to balance sewing and working on the house!
I finished a quilt today. It has been a really long time since I actually finished a quilt. I had the yellow fabric with the roses. The rest of the fabric was a swap of scraps with two of my good friends. I started this quilt over a year ago but I quilted this one myself!! Now if the weather would just turn colder ready to snuggle under this one.
It has been a really long time since I have posted. My latest project was inspired by Bonnie Hunter. I saw her Christmas color hexagon quilt and went ga ga over it. Here is a picture of her quilt. I am working on reproducing her design with modification to the border. I know it will take a long time to complete but am carrying it with me everywhere so if I have five minutes to sew I can work on it. Will post pics of progress!
I know I haven't posted for a long time. Have been busy with life an getting my mom settled in assisted living. I found this wonderful princess sewing basket at a local antique store today. It came with all the items inside. It is in perfect shape!! I love these baskets this is the second one I have bought.
